That´s a selection of 24 wristwatches I personally like. It´s an out-of-the-box-selection for you, to entertain you today December 6th, on St. Nicolas Day, 18 days before Christmas …
Please do not ask me why I have been choosing these 24 watches and not 24 others. This Sunday morning, sitting in my office with a good cappuccino I found them by combing through my hundreds of watch folders and I simply spontaneously liked them. In the end this selection shows you the variety this industry has to offer. For every taste, for every size of wallet you will find either your made in Germany or Swiss made wristwatch. Enjoy my selection and if you liked it let me know.

Great cross section of fabulous (Jaeger, IWC, Patek, Breguet) and inexpensive (Rado, Longines, Mido, Oris). Watch connoisseurs will know the price of all listed. Thanks!
To my eye, the Breguet 7097 in white gold with those gorgeous blue hands blows them all away!
nice selection, i liked the Rado the Longines and the Oris. I think i will start dropping hints now, you never know what father christmas will bring you and i have been vey good.
Excellent site by the way always interesting and informative.
Oh the breitling Galactic. Not much of anything more beautiful except a Rolex explore II!!!
Nice selections.
I would be most happy to find any of them under my tree.
Currently my eye is on Grand Seiko though.
Merry Christmas.
hey alex. thanks for that nice compilation. i’m just missing the list prices, which would make it easier to choose one for christmas.. 🙂
greetings to vienna!
Alex
Your personal selection is very accurate and covers a wide
range of unique watches. I do believe that Omega De Ville Tresor
is the most beautiful watch made so far.
Your site is a perenial motivation of pleasure. Thanks
.
Happy New Year. Antonio
Antoine, thank you for your friendly comment!
Why are MSRP never listed?
As no one in their right mind pays MSRP anyways and with google its very easy to understand what you should be paying
At least one could get an “idea” as to the price area of the watches. Reviewing a watch without listing the price is short-changing the interested reader who will then have to look elsewhere for that information which takes time, and time is an expensive commodity.
You said that this is your personal selection and I accept that it is fine selection, but I would have chosen Omega Speedmaster Mark II Co-Axial Chronograph Sedna Gold instead of Omega Ploprof Master Chronometer.
Apart from that I would choose Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver, Vacheron Constantin Overseas Quantième Simple and Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition.
I have enjoyed your large-sized pictures immensely, but why is Chopard only 41.2 Kb and Omega De Ville Tresor only 105 Kb?
I like those two watches a lot and wish that you would provide us with some large-sized pictures of these 2 watches.
I will look if I find bigger pictures for you
Alex, what a cool selection a wide range of watches all of them very unique in their own way. If I would have the money I would go for either the PP or the AP for the lady, I like the Cartier and the Rolex nice choices. Surprised that JLC new collection for the ladies did not make it on your list.
I enjoyed the Mido. It’s a very nice watch.
I believe the Longines Heritage Military would be beautiful, if only had indexes.
Currently I really like Omega Globemaster, the JLC Geophysic True Second and Girard-Perregaux 1966 – Steel.
I like your selection! Specially the JLC is very, very cool!
