H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity Cosmic Green

When it comes to minimalistic yet complicated watches you can’t surpass H. Moser & Cie. Their Endeavour and Venturer collections have some stunning watches that have been brought down to the basics. At least from the outside that is. It’s no surprise the philosophy of H. Moser & Cie is ‘complexity made simple’. While there is nothing simple about a perpetual calendar their new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity Cosmic Green sure looks clean and minimalistic.

Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity

When you look at the functionality of a perpetual calendar it’s all there but it’s been brought down to the pure essence. With a rather large date window at  3-o’clock, the month indicator sits directly underneath the leaf shaped hands. This way the full date is displayed without any additional sub-dials or windows in the dial. Even the small central hand for the month indicator is brought down to the very basics. Applied double hour markers are only found at the top and bottom of the dial. Opposite of the re-designed date window there is a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock which gives the dial a balanced design. All is completed with a small seconds at the bottom of the dial which comes in ‘Cosmic Green’.

Slightly enlarged

On the back side and behind a curved sapphire there is a leap year indicator. The curved design guarantees the watch to sit comfortable on the wrist. In the past we’ve had a few watches on loan. Due to the curve these watches keep their presence on the wrist without turning like some watches do. Inside the white gold case you will find the HMC 800 calibre which adapted to the increased diameter. Where the Endeavour Perpetual normally measures 40.8 mm this model was enlarged to 42 mm. In the words of Moser this gives a more dynamic look while still remaining elegantly on the wrist.
