Hey Alexander,
You missed one option.
I hate going to my watches to pick one out to wear only to find that the marvelous quartz watch I wanted to wear has dead battery.
Don’t have that problem with mechanical watches.
Recently I’ve begun to really like solar powered watches which avoids this issue, as long as it hasn’t been in a dark drawer for over a month. (lol)
Patek-Philippe 5712/1A
The complications are my 3 favorite: reserve de marche, date and moonphase; the demand for the piece is super-high worldwide.
Also, it is water resistant and is less than 10mm high, makes it very wearable.
Since an investment means a greater return than initially invested, this watch will only go up over time (consider that it launched in 2005 at $22,500 and went up to $36,000 within 8 years – before PP dropped their North American prices by 7%).
Which in your opinion is the best investment and best for pleasure to wear?
how much money do you want to spend?
