How times flies!
This is the Lange 1 from 1994. The icon is still looking great!

Now in preparation to the 20th anniversary of the Lange 1 the communication department of A. Lange & Söhne asked me and two of my fellow bloggers to attend a very special event next Tuesday in Dresden and Glashütte.
Here is an extract of the invitation I got…
… “A. Lange & Söhne cordially invites you to discover Dresden and the world of A. Lange & Söhne by water, land and air 18 to 19 August 2014. It was in Dresden that A. Lange & Söhne premiered, 20 years ago, with the spectacular launch of four unique timepieces – one of them the iconic Lange 1. In celebration of the anniversary, we would like to take you on an exclusive tour to discover the home of A. Lange & Söhne from a new perspective.” …
So my fellow bloggers Kristian and Robert-Jan and I will be the main actors in a documentary that will be presented first to the invited guests of A. Lange & Söhne and then to a greater public on 24th October 2014 through various social media channels. Our task will be to put various models of the Lange 1 in the limelight by water, land and air.
But guys you will not have to wait until October to see these amazing pictures; you will see them already next week next Tuesday, 19th August here on my blog.
SO if you are a real watch aficionado and a A. Lange & Söhne lover BE SURE TO PASS BY NEXT TUESDAY AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN. I will start uploading spectacular pictures of at least two Lange 1 models in the afternoon and I am sure you will like them.

Hi Alexander, thanks to a very special friend, my Son and I got the chance to see the facory in Glashütte as well as the Boutique in Dresden. We became total ALS afficionados and do admire you on your tour next week. Can hardly wait to see the pictures of a truly watch icon…
Have a great time at the event! Wish I could attend at least some of it but alas, it just isn’t in the cards.
All watches created by A. Lange & Söhne are really outstanding and, I am sure, you will provide us with more information as well as pictures from this great watch company in future.
I am looking forward to next week to see more information about these amazing watches.
There won’t be any new “Lange1” among them but we three bloggers will have the chance to put them in the limelight by water, land and air.
