Together with the Breitling novelties I have shown you in the last weeks, Breitling will tomorrow at Baselworld 2014 launch these four new watches:

The Brieling Navitimer 46 mm in a 46 mm housing and the Breitling Navitimer GMT in a 48 mm case.

Breitling says: “We begin a new chapter in the epic saga of our famous Navitimer aviation chronograph by launching a reinterpretation of the classic model in a larger diameter, as well as a travel version featuring revolutionary user friendliness. These two new variations on a legendary watch are both equipped with chronometer-certified Manufacture Breitling movements.”

Well let´s have a look at the Brieling Navitimer 46 mm:

The Navitimer now appears in a larger 46 mm diameter that for sure enhances its presence on the wrist and accentuates the originality of its design while also optimizing its readability. The Navitimer 46 mm is also available with a blue dial featuring tone-on- tone counters. A transparent case back offers a view on the Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01 with 70 hours of power reserve, chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute). This larger-than-life timepiece is fitted with a choice between a steel bracelet and a leather or crocodile strap. For collectors this might be interesting: It also comes in a 200-piece red gold limited edition with a black dial.

And now the Breitling Navitimer GMT 48mm:

With the new Navitimer GMT Breitling has decided to think big in creating this chronograph with a traveller’s soul. The COSC-certified Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04 with 70 hours of power reserve guarantees user friendliness; it is equipped with a dual zonetime system. By simply pulling out the crown and turning it forwards or backwards in one-hour increments it enables instant setting of the travel zonetime date and hour, while of course maintaining a home-time display in 24-hour mode and without losing any precision in terms of the minutes. The large-format steel case with its imposing 48 mm diameter frames a perfectly readable instrument panel. The new Navitimer GMT comes with two faces – a classic dial in black with silver counters or an all silver version and may be fitted with a steel bracelet or a leather or crocodile strap. For collectors this might be interesting: It is also available in a 200-piece red gold limited edition with a black dial.

  • I’d be glad to see some photos about the Superocean Chrono Steelfish Blackeye-Blue dial. One and only photo was made by Roger Ruegger, nothing else is available right now 🙁 Alex, could you make some photos about it?
    Thx!

  • Nice Navitimers. I have always thought that they say Brietling, they are so distinctive to me. Just like the “cuff catchers” on the old style bezel. THey are a very distinctive feature. Not too enthralled with the update of those.

  • Thanks Alexander for this insight – but I have to say I’m not very impressed with Breitling’s 2014 lineup…it’s all much of the same.

  • Cool watch. A natural progression for the Navitimer. Keep the updates coming Alexander!!
