Baselworld 2014: The Breitling Novelties

The new Breitling for Bentley GMT Light Body B04

Bentley stands for the quintessence of British chic, GMT for the dual zone-time adjustment system Light Body for the featherweight titanium case and the B04 for the Manufacture Breitling Calibre entirely developed and produced in the Breitling Chronométrie workshops.

The new Bentley GMT Light Body B04 is an invitation to enjoy a combination of comfort and elegance, efficiency and style. The new wrist sculpture is distinguished by its original and daring design featuring asymmetrical lugs, a black rubber strap, a broad bezel with a knurled motif inspired by Bentley radiator grilles, along with push-pieces built into the ergonomically streamlined profile.

The travel chronograph will convince users by its unprecedented ease of handling. All the wearer needs to do when juggling with the zone-times is to pull out the crown and turn it forwards or backwards in one-hour increments. This is achieved without any loss of precision in terms of the minutes, while the date is automatically adjusted to local time in either direction. Another appreciable source of comfort stems from the rotating inner bezel bearing the names of 24 cities and enabling at-a-glance reading of all zone-times in the 24 most important time zones around the world in relation to the one indicated by the 24-hour hand. The new Breitling timepiece is powered by the automatic B04 chronograph movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC, the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.

  • I’d be glad to see some photos about the Superocean Chrono Steelfish Blackeye-Blue dial. One and only photo was made by Roger Ruegger, nothing else is available right now 🙁 Alex, could you make some photos about it?
    Thx!

  • Nice Navitimers. I have always thought that they say Brietling, they are so distinctive to me. Just like the “cuff catchers” on the old style bezel. THey are a very distinctive feature. Not too enthralled with the update of those.

  • Thanks Alexander for this insight – but I have to say I’m not very impressed with Breitling’s 2014 lineup…it’s all much of the same.

  • Cool watch. A natural progression for the Navitimer. Keep the updates coming Alexander!!
