…. “4-8 September 2013, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) holds the 32nd ‘Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair’. Meanwhile, one of the biggest retailers based in HK, PRINCE, holds the ‘World Brand Piazza’ exhibition in the same place, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
I just came back yesterday and the Watch & Clock Fair was better than I thought.
Briefly, Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is one of the biggest watch industry events in China. More than 720 brands from 12 countries have a booth in the fair. More than 17,500 buyers have registered for entering. Statistically, most buyers are from Mainland China, Iran, India and Russia. Further, this fair is a place for the people in watch industry to have yearly meeting. Buyers and investors come here not only for the final products of watches, but also for machinery, production equipment, packaging, tools and movements. I actually think that you can buy a set of components from suppliers and assemble a complete watch eventually. The first four days is only available for buyers and media, and the last day is an opening day to the public.
Apparently, the things being tried to sell in this fair are those products with low prices in huge quantities. However, the quality of the layout and the size of area are quite satisfactory even the average price of exhibits very low. The fair occupies 10 halls of the HKCEC, each hall has a separate portal. Each brand has its own booth like other watch fair. You can see the geography in the photos. A list of a stupendous number of brands. I really think that exhibitors can hardly find their name LOL

Those amazing pieces of both Sea-Gull and Beijing Watch, I will report them later, separately. The watches in the following photos are just normal.
Sorry for the quality, the lighting condition of those booths was too bad.
On the other hand, the exhibition in ‘World Brand Piazza’ is totally different. PRINCE exhibited flagship watches of brands that it sell, including Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Chopard, Franck Muller, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Ulysse Nardin and Zenith.
The quality of photos is not very good because of the messy lights and the plastic cover on the surface of watches. Anyway, all of them have been launched before, and you can find other particular information of them.” …
And this is a sneak preview of Beijing Watch. Logan will follow up with a special report later…
