The Omega Speedmaster “Speedy Tuesday” – #SpeedyTuesday – was sold out in only four hours. (Update with number of people on waiting list)

If you are still interested in one, please check again today, since it may be that not everyone reconfirms his order, as it is necessary to do in-between 24 hours. So some of the 2012 watches might be available today – might! GOOD LUCK!  UPDATE: I was told Friday that actually there are more than 1800 people on the waiting list …

  • Wow! What a sales accomplishment. I wonder if this will prompt Omega (and others) to offer more limited editions online.

It is almost as if the fervor and immediacy of social media has bled into online sales. Also, this sales-model is interesting to think about as some major watch brands close boutiques here in the States due to lack of business.
