Video: History of Zenith’s fusée and chain

Zenith developed a special complicated watch, the Academy Georges Favre-Jacot, to celebrate its 150th Anniversary in 2014. Zenith traces the roots of this watch, which is equipped with a fusée-and-chain constant force sytem, to its development of marine clocks.

In this video, the movement designer of Zenith explains how the system works and show some of important details in its construction, such as a protection system for the delicate chain and an integrated spring to keep the watch running while it is being wound.
