The 85th edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este was held in Cernobbio last weekend. It was the third time that A. Lange & Söhne took the stage as sponsor of this traditional competition. All the weekend was about celebrating the motorcar as design icon and art object. There were 51 entrants to the concorso, all very rare and exclusive cars from 1908 to 1972.

In the end a Maserati 450S dating from 1956 with an 8 cylinders, 4477 cc engine won the concorso.

Here is the car Saturday afternoon just before driving up the little street to the jury.

  • Very nice work. Thanks.

Which of the cars would in your opinion, best reflect the style or design philosophy of Lange und Soehne?
I know is hard to compare apples to oranges, but it would be interesting to know your opinion about it.

    Could it be Rolls Royce?

    Best regards
