Talking to Aldo Magada, CEO of Zenith on a special occasion

Aldo Magada, CEO Zenith

I was in Le Locle in the Swiss Jura Mountains yesterday and I talked to Aldo Magada about Zenith, “his” watchmaking pearl. Click on “read more” to get the story …

It was fun and cool to come back to Zenith HQ in Le Locle yesterday. The purpose of traveling there was Hans Knauss, a former successful Austrian ski racer and today a very well-known TV commentator for ski races  (www.hans-knauss.com).

I met Hans in summer during an old-timer rally sponsored by Zenith and we agreed to visit Zenith together. Beside of the information Hans got from the super friendly and very motivated Zenith people, I tried to give him some general information about the Swiss watch industry and of course about Zenith and its watches. Guys, I can tell we had a good time and a lot of fun!

A short self-advertisement: If you are interested to learn more about Zenith please discover my huge reportage about the manufacture splitter into 11 (!) parts.

Once being there I took the occasion, I crabbed my Tascam DR-07 MKII recorder and I taped a very likable conversation with Zenith´s CEO Aldo Magada.

Take some minutes and listen…

By the way: I like this picture! Aldo stand in front of a big Rolling Stones poster and the reflections on it show me taking the picture with flash 🙂

This Hans Knauss. Of course he was challenged and he had to show his skills as a watch-maker during our visit … 🙂

  • What a shame on Zenith …. I love the brand, own 2 of their watches … but c’mon … it’s 150 years and almost NO novelties … Zenith is becoming a sad small dying brand…

If Zenth people need an advice: get out of that official french forum … moderator is pretty much everything you can dream to make people hate zenith!
